Movies to Look Foward Too
Alice in Wonderland

Release Date: March 5th, 2010
Starring: Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, Anne Hathaway
Director: Tim Burton
Trailer

19-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's (Helena Bonham Carter) reign of terror.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
The crazy directorial mind of Tim Burton meddling with the crazy world of Lewis Carols classic in a new vision of Alice in Wonderland what's not to love. Plus the trailers for the film make it look absolutly intersting and completely compelling. This should be an absolute joy ride down the rabbit hole and so much fun for the whole family.

The Bounty Hunter

Release Date: March 19th, 2010
Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Gerard Butler, Christine Baranski, Natalie Morales
Director: Andy Tennant
Trailer

A bounty hunter (Gerald Butler) learns that his next target is his ex-wife (Jennifer Aniston), a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure with a bunch of New Jersey heavies in pursuit.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
This is the kind of film that looks really good when you see the trailers but there is a very good chance that all the best parts are in the trailers and the movie is a complete bore. It's still worth seeing in my opinion as the coupling of Butler who likes to bounce from action flick to romantic comedy seems like a perfect chemistry match for Aniston. The trailers make it look good and like just a fun romp of a pair of exes forced to team up together.

Repo Men

Release Date: March 19th, 2010
Starring: Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Alice Braga
Director: Miguel Sapochnik
Trailer

Set in a world where artificial organs are readily available for purchase, a man (Jude Law) who makes his living repossessing organs from those who fail to make their payments first finds himself outfitted with a new heart, then forced to go on the run when he falls on hard financial times.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
Another movie that may end up being hit or miss but its hard to not me drawn in by the premise of thise futuristic action film. Repo Men who collect on body parts and organs finding themselves the target by other repo men. Seems to have quite a bit of other futuristic movies like Minority Report mixed into it and hopefully it as good as some of those other sci-fo films.

Clash of the Titans

Release Date: April 2nd, 2010
Starring: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes
Director: Louis Leterrier
Trailer

In a loose adaptation from Greek mythology, Perseus (Worthington) who was born of a god but raised as a man, sets off on an epic mission to combat Hades (Fiennes) before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on earth.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
Honestly unless you are a nostalgia buff and treasure original movies and wish for them to not be changed I can't see why you wouldn't want to see this movie updated. With today's FX and technology they might be able to make this movie into a fantastic film. Plus the film has a fantasic cast of Sam Worthington fresh off Avatar, Liam Neeson, and Ralph Fiennes. This is the kind of film that could glue you to your seat and keep you there. On the other hand with all the remakes nowdays they could also make a complete and total piece of garbage you never know tell you see the movie.

Kick Ass

Release Date: April 16th, 2010
Starring: Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Chloe Moretz
Director: Matthew Vaughn
Trailer

Despite the fact that he has zero superpowers, teenage fanboy Dave Lizewski (Johnson) looks to reincarnate himself as a crime-fighting superhero named Kick-Ass, a decision that will inspire a subculture of copy cats, put his life in danger, and unite him with a similarly minded father-daughter duo (Cage and Moretz).

Why you should look forward to this movie:
Everything I have heard about this movie and everything I have seen about this movie has made it look totally and completely awesome. The movie has been getting major buzz since Comic Con and just cries out in the nerd in me to see it. This is the kind of spoof and just feel good comedy that I wish Hollywood would do more.

Iron Man 2

Release Date: May 7th, 2010
Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke, Gwyneth Paltrow
Director: Jon Favreau
Trailer

With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances -- and confront powerful enemies.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
To me this might be the must see movie of an otherwise kind of drab and boring summer season. The first Iron Man came completely out of left field and was one of the best movies of the year and I don't see any reason why the sequel would be any different. Downey Jr. back as Stark and Rourke as the villian this time around this might even be better than the first one.

Toy Story 3

Release Date: June 11th, 2010
Starring: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen
Director: Lee Unkrich
Trailer

Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen), and the rest of their toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
I had actually really been enjoying the original pixar stories of late and while Toy Story is still one of my favorite Pixar storylines I am a little saddened that this years Pixar movie is a sequel. But that being said who isn't excited about the return of Buzz and Woody and all their toy friends as Pixar always delivers and Toy Story is a fantastic set of movies.

The Last Airbender

Release Date: July 2nd, 2010br> Starring: Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone
Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Trailer

Aang (Ringer), a young successor to a long line of Avatars, learns that he possesses the power to engage the Fire Nation and hopefully end their century-long war against the Water, Earth, and Air nations.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
I really don't know much about the Japenese original this is based upon but the fact that M. Night Shyamalan is directing it has my interest piqued. This seems like a complete left turn for the director and this could be the kind of movie that rejuvinates the fallen director of late plus he is still one of my favorite directors.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I

Release Date: November 19th, 2010
Starring: Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman
Director: David Yates
Trailer

Voldemort's power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for them, so everything they do must go as planned.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
I wonder why the decision was made now to split the movies into two parts rather that earlier. Deathly Hallows which involves a lot of camping could have been very likely done in one film and edited much like the last three movies were edited to get it to the big screen. But despite this obvious cash grab this film still has me pumped as we finally get to see half of the conclusion to one of the big motion picture series and books in our era. To finally see them wrap up this wonderful series is something to be very excited about.

Sin City 2

Release Date: 2007
Starring: Jessica Alba, Devon Aoki, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Brittany Murphy, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke
Director: Robert Rodriquez

It's one of those hot nights, dry and windless. The kind that makes people do sweaty, secret things. Dwight's thinking of all the ways he's screwed up and what he'd give for one clear chance to wipe the slate clean, to dig his way out of the numb gray hell that is his life. And he'd give anything. Just to cut loose. Just to feel the fire. One more time.

Dwight is experiencing some problems when him and his girlfriend, Ava Lord, get reunited, Nancy wants to avenge Hartigan's death by going after the Roarks, a man in the military gets mysteriously killed while trying to cook a rat, and we get to explore some details in Hartigan's past.

Why you should look forward to this movie:
Sin City was like watching a comic book leap off the pages and there is so much more story that can be told and that should be told, I don't know how you couldn't be excited about a sequel. Some of the more awesome characters like Marv may be gone but the movie still should have no let down.
