Blade has a mixed parentage he is a vampire who is half human as well. His mother who was bitten by a vampire right before giving birth to him transferred both human and vampire blood on to him His human heritage allows him an advantage over the normal vampire, as he is immune to many of things that are deadly to them such as sunlight, garlic and silver. So he has all their strengths such as increased speed, agility and a heightened healing factor and only one weakness and that he still thirsts to drink blood. He now hunts vampires to avenge himself of his birth while taking solution that stops his lust for blood. The only friend and ally he has had along this journey is Whistler who helps him design weapons to kill vampires. But the vampire nation has now proposed a truce to their most feared enemy because there is a new enemy now who is more deadly than even Blade himself, this new evil not only feeds on humans but vampires as well. Teamed up with his partner Whistler who has miraculously come back from the dead of the first film, Blade will find himself the leader of a group of vampires that have been training for two years to kill him. But not everything is as it seems as the origins of this new super vampire become suspicion as Blade must not only track it down but also must deal with the tensions of the new crew he is leading and who want to see him dead as much as they want to eradicate the new threat.

The sequel to the Marvel comic book that made it to the big screen in 1998. This movie was an adrenalin, action packed thrill ride from beginning to end even though it seems to like to leave gaping plot holes throughout. If you liked the first movie you will absolutely love the sequel as it outdoes the first one easily. The movie has revamped everything including most of the fight scenes using a lot of stop and slow motion revolutionized by The Matrix, which came out after the first Blade. The movie has everything even a little romance. The one lacking quality to the movie is Hollywood’s refusal to leave a character dead after they have killed them off. Whistler should have remained dead instead of the cockamied way they brought him back. I do not agree with this, as it did not seem that his return helped the movie in any way. Plus then you have to gloss over the fact that you killed him. Also the super vampires did not impress me as they seemed to be the producers way of trying to upgrade the vampires from the first movie. This movie is about vampires, it is about action and adventure, it is about a thrill ride where we do not need such obvious attempts at gore and increased violence to impress us. The movie is a violent, martial arts, bloodbath, action packed movie. Wesley Snipes once again does an excellent job as the day walker as his cockiness and attitude fit the character perfectly. A warning for people who do not like excessive violence this is not a movie for you. A must see
