Max has always had big dreams and aspirations but the problem is that he never seems to seize them. For the last twelve years he has driven the same Taxi Cab in Los Angeles and while he is great at his job knowing the exact amount of time it takes and the best routes to get anywhere in LA as well as keeping the cleanest Taxi in all of LA, what he really wants to do is open up his own Limo Service. So for the guy who dreams big but is always afraid to take the plunge, what happens in one very tumultuous day for Max may change his life forever. Taking what he thinks is a sweet fare driving around a conservative looking businessman Vincent who has promised him twice of what he would make in a normal night if he will be basically his chauffeur for the entire night making five stops and then taking him to the airport. But after just the first stop Max figures out that the fare he's been driving around all day is a contract killer, committing a series of hits. So what seemed like a great deal has now turned into a nightmare as Vincent has basically taken him hostage and is now forcing him to help him. Now, it's up to Max to somehow stop the killer from executing the last witness... as well as himself.

This is the kind of movie that is so intense that you think it has a lot more action that it really does. The movie seems like it is an action packed thrill ride but it is more of a drama as the performance that Tom Cruise gives is nothing short of perfect. Cruise just steals the screen away and you cannot but help being engrossed in his performance. Tom Cruise has matured as an actor as he has gotten older and each one of his movies now days are nothing short of breathe taking. It is surprising sometimes to see what Hollywood type cast as a pretty boy for so many years show that he has incredible talent as his craft. He totally makes It is surprising sometimes to see what Hollywood type cast as a pretty boy for so many years show that he has incredible talent as his craft. He totally makes you believe he is whatever character he is playing as you can see him as this cool suave hitman that takes no prisoners. Jamie Foxx might not have been the best choice though to costar in this movie as he just isn’t up to stuff for most of the movie. He is forced to overact to compensate for the job that Cruise does. I am not saying he is a total failure in the movie but I am sure they could have found someone better to play the role of the reluctant cabby. Despite Foxx’s performance this movie is still incredible and just packed with skin tingling drama and Cruise just sucks you into another great performance.ill way above anything be produced as far as thrillers go as it highly entertaining and something I will probably buy.
