Charlie has this grand plan that with the help of his best friend Phil who was also layed off that they could make a killing by offering a cheaper day care center that would promote them as fathers taking care of the children. At first most of the residents of there city are shocked by the idea and refuse them but with the help of a friend they are able to get a few customers. Now two fathers who barely had time for their own children before they lost their jobs find themselves in charge of a group of rowdy and hyperactive children hell bent on destroying both fathers and Charlie’s house. But Charlie who has never given up on anything in his life is hell bent on sticking it through despite all the problems and an evil headmistress of the rival day care center who would like nothing better than to see them run out of business.

From the trailer I thought this movie could be either very funny or very stupid, and that is exactly what the movie was very funny and very stupid. At times I found myself laughing very hard and at other times I found myself grimacing at the sheer stupidity of the plot and the over used cliques of many movies before it. This movie has its bright spots of hilarity and its dark spots of unoriginality and trite story lines. The movie spirals into a sappy comedy where you know exactly what is going to happen and cannot help feeling cheated by the writers for not staying away from this trite ending. Of course the movie is suppose to be family based but that does not mean that the producers had to go with the glitter based happy ever after feeling this movie turned into. The movie was funny and did have its moments but they could not totally make up for all the moments you just wanted to yawn at the cliques and overused plot lines. Good for a matinee or maybe even a rental but don’t pay full price for the movie because it is not a full movie.
