Murphy and his crew are the some of the best salvagers on the ocean. They have just gotten back from a salvage job of the last six months and are looking forward to a nice little vacation and the opportunity to repair their salvage boat. But Ferriman a weather spotter for the Royal Canadian Air Force has come to them with the chance of a lifetime. While out on a mission he has discovered an abandoned passage liner that might be worth millions. All he wants out of his discovery is a finder’s fee and the chance to come along with them to help salvage the ship. So the salvage tug sets out again on board is Murphy the skipper, Epps the co-owner, and crewmembers Greer, Dodge, Munder and Santos the engine repairman. When they arrive at the ship already strange occurrences are happening like the ship appearing and disappearing from radar, but it could all be worth it as the ship is the Antonia Graza. The Antonia Graza was an Italian luxury liner with the most elite of Europe’s prestigious families aboard and it disappeared in 1962 without any rescue signal or any other type of distress signal ever being sent. Excited at the turn of events the crew jumps at the chance to save this historical ship that is slowly sinking. But when they get aboard all sorts of strange events begin to take place as doors shut mysteriously and Epps sees something she could not have possibly seen and that is a little girl aboard the ship. All these strange occurrences have the crew begin to wonder if the ship is haunted and whether they should get off it as soon as possible.

This might be what you call your typical horror and suspense movie that is just done so well that you cannot help but be entertained and frightened by it. The movie follows all the rules of your standard haunted house flick except one it takes place on a boat adding a new twist to stories told time and time again. The movie can be quite gory at times and may even go over the top a little in efforts to sicken out its audiences but it is the suspense of the movie that gets you. The movie just has that eerie feeling that makes these type of movies so wonderful and makes you want to hide your eyes while at the same time being entranced to the screen. You will feel chills run up your spine and even though you know it not to be real you will still jump and be frightened by this very well made horror movie. The ending tries to go with a little bit of a surprise but I think the movie had already succeeded by this time and it was a pointless venture. This is the type of movie you rent late at night and climb under a blanket and enjoy a very good thriller as you scare yourself to sleep.
