For those still in High School and wanting to go to college there is one thing that stands in the way many times and that is the S.A.T. This standardized aptitude test can cause nightmares and crush dreams for those who do not do well on it. Grades do not matter, achievements do not matter the deciding factor is always the S.A.T. score. For Kyle is whole life is dream has been to be an architect and attend Cornell University but when he bombs the test he finds that he is not alone in having his life managed and twisted by the S.A.T. His best friend Matty and four other of his fellow school students have all done poorly on the test and our now seeing their dreams unravel in front of them. That is when they decided to band together and take back their lives that have been stolen from. They decide the only way to succeed is to steal all the answers to the test. This bold plan will involve them to break into the ETC office where the answers are stored and make it back out with the answers in hand. Each student in the group has his or her own set of circumstances that leads to the conclusion that the only way to truly decide one's own fate is to beat the system. But it will not be easy as the ETC building is heavily guarded and none of them show much street smarts despite some of their academic achievements.

What can be said about this movie is that they must have done some serious research watching teen flicks to capture with such ease nearly every single cliché you could think of. Heck, during the movie they even make a comment about the Breakfast Club a place they probably stole every single one of their characters and interactions. You got the brainy chick, you’ve go your jock, you’ve got your stoner, you’ve got your slacker and you’ve got your main character who is semi normal to bring them all together. Then your story is the nice clichéd plot that doesn’t even bother to keep you guessing. You’ve got your eventual hook ups and an ending that is textbook in teen movie history. I am still trying to figure out of they were truly were trying to achieve such a wonderful level of mockery as they even manage to throw in some parodies from The Matrix or if the movie was just a truly horribly written an acted masterpiece. I think it is a little of both as you can tell at times they like to be copying all its movie predecessors and others you can tell they just didn’t have any originality in them to tell a good story. The movie is not a total failure and does manage to capture your interest at times and even entertain you a little but this is not enough to make it more than what it was and that is mediocre.
