Harry Langer is what many would call a chauvinistic pig as he has reached the ripe age of 63 discarding women tile they were tissues on the way. His exploits are so famous that he has been the story of many articles about his exploits from Diane Sawyer to lesser know women. But the only thing Harry cares about in a woman is the fact that she is under 30 as he only dates younger women. Harry is New York City music executive so he also has money, age and experience to help him seduce the younger women. His world is turned upside-down, while visiting the East Hampton beach home of the divorced playwright mother, Erica, of his latest trophy girlfriend, Marin when he has a heart attack and has to be rushed to the hospital. But things are about to get worse because of his condition he is unable to travel and because his girlfriend has to go back to the city, Harry is left in the care of Erica and his doctor. Harry begins to find himself doing something he never imagined he would do and that is he is beginning to like Erica a woman of his own age that he finds fascinating. He has no idea what to do about his new emotions as he has so for so long been a bachelor with nothing in mind but his next conquest. But things are about to even become more complicated as he finds himself competing with his much younger doctor for a woman that he once would have thought of as too old to even consider having a relationship with.

The movie is more than just a little bit surprising as while it clearly falls under the category of Chick Flick it is also charming, funny, and highly entertaining. Some of the exploits of Nicholson and Keaton will almost have you rolling in the aisles with laughter as Nicholson proves once more why he is one of the great actors of Hollywood. He is much funnier in this movie than he was in Anger Management as he keeps you in stitches though out the movie while also managing to pull off some of the more dramatic roles his character required. This movie proves that you can not judge a book by its cover as while it is clearly more driven towards the female audience it does not stop from also entertaining and completely enthralling the male audience at the same time. This is a rare feat for any type of movie that is so easily slapped into the genre of Chick Flick. And in my opinion this is what producers of such movies should be aiming for and not alienating one type of audience for another. The subject matter is clearly meant for more mature audiences and probably should have been given an R rating as it even has some nudity in it not to mention being chock full of sexual references. But if you are looking for a mature comedy that does not fail to deliver laughs, charm and an overall good time this movie is clearly a must see.
