Juni Cortez was once a valued member of the OSS a government ran spy agency that is used to protect us without our knowledge. Juni was apart of the spy kids division a group of younger spies that can fit in with kids instead of adults. But Juni has become disillusioned with the whole thing and he has quit the agency and gone out on his own as a private detective. He has been saving up his money for the hottest video game to ever come out called Game Over. The game is a virtual reality game that will allow all the users to game inside cyberspace in a virtual world. But after some mishaps he is unable to get the game and returns home to find a message from the OSS regarding his sister. It appears that the game is not so innocent as it seemed and evil mastermind named the Toy Maker is producing the game in hopes of enslaving all the minds of the children who play it. Once trapped inside his virtual world they will forever do his bidding. It seems Carmen Cortez, Juni’s sister was sent into the game to destroy it and help the world. But she was lost in the game and they cannot get her out so they have called upon Juni to rescue his sister. When he arrives in the game everything appears to not be normal and with help of a few beta testers of the game and his grandfather Juni must fight his way to level 4 to save his sister then proceed onto level 5 to destroy the game before the Toy Maker can use it to rule the world.

I honestly had no intention of seeing this movie because even though I found the first movie charming the second one was so horrible it was quite obvious that this one would be horrible as well. And I was quite right the movie was an atrocity on the senses and should have never been made. Now you might be wondering then why did I see it, simple I was sucked in by a gimmick. The gimmick was the fact that the movie was being broadcast in 3 dimensions or 3D and it has been a very long time since I have seen a 3D movie. But this movie was not 3D it was a cheesy and lame imitation of 3D that assaulted the senses to near madness. I could not decide which was worst watching the movie with the lame glasses they provide you with or taking them off and watching the horribly washed out screen without them. Both were horrible experiences and both made me angry they caught me with a gimmick. These movies are why some directors never work with children as Daryl Sabara, who plays Juni has to be one of the worlds worst child actors and its amazing they still allow him to make movies. But it was not only the kids who were bad the adult actors were just as hideous. After seeing Sylvester Stallone’s performance as the villain of the movie I am convinced he should retire and never, ever make a movie again as long as he lives. Yes, his performance was that bad. The movie did have some fun elements, as the movie would probably have made a better video game than the joke of a movie it was. The kids will probably love it and the gimmick of 3D will probably excite them, but as for me I sure wish I had stayed away.
