Bob and Walt Tenor are small-town legends that excel at sports, and who are the proud owners of a fast-food restaurant where their four hands work the grill at lightning speed. Bob is the shy, sports driven brother, while Walt lives the fast life who us good with the ladies. And while this may sound like your typical family, it is far from it because Bob and Walt are Siamese Twins that were unable to be separated because they share the same liver. When the acting bug bites Walt, he convinces Bob to honor their childhood pact to never hold back the other, and the brothers head west for the bright lights of Hollywood. Bob and Walt make fast friends with their sexy neighbor, who helps Walt land a grizzled agent whose idea of a prime gig for Walt is a porn film. Things finally begin to look up for Walt when the boys encounter legendary diva--and Academy Award winning actress--Cher. Looking to sabotage her new television series, of which she wants no part, Cher casts Walt as her co-star. Instead of dooming the show, Walt propels it to the top of the ratings, and the brothers became instant celebrities. But their real adventure is only beginning, as Bob finds romance with a longtime cyber-pal, and the brothers make a decision that will forever change their lives. But things soon come crashing down as the media learns that they are Siamese twins and they must make a choice to deny or embrace their identities. But what ever happens to the boys, one thing is certain: nothing will ever come between them.
Awkward, simply amazingly so. No other word seems able to sum up this movie as the movie was incredibly awkward and never seemed to find a genre. Watching the movie at times you could not decide if the movie was trying to be a comedy or rather if they thought they were some true story based on a pair of real Siamese twins trying to make it big. It made the movie incredibly mediocre, and awkward as most of the jokes fell flat on their face and the movie was rarely funny or even likeable. This was nothing like any of the previous Farrelly brothers movies as it never had any charm or humor and just did not capture the audience in any way. I am wondering if the Farrelly brothers have completely run out of ideas came up with a silly premise in Siamese twins and decided that was good enough and completely forgot to make the movie funny, rather making it appear more like movie based on a true story. I am thinking both Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear are going to seriously regret doing this movie in five years time as it is a black mark on both of their careers. I don’t even know if Matt Damon has it in him to be a comedic actor as this is first try at a comedy was not funny, was not amusing and mostly was a big waste of time.
