Wherever Cary Ford is there always seems to be trouble. For some odd reason he attracts it like a magnet and when he gets into his latest set back he runs for it and moves to Taiwan to try and wait out the storm. But he cannot stay away because when he left he left the girl he loves Shane and no matter what he does he cannot seem to be without her. So after only six months away he returns to try and fix the problems that have occurred. Ford is a long-time biker and non-gang member who was framed by a long-time rival, Henry James, the leader of a biker gang called the Hellions. James had asked him to store a few custom bikes but when Ford tried to move them he found that they were filled with drugs. Because of this the FBI is breathing hard down his neck thinking he is a drug dealer and he also has been having trouble Sleepy D, the brother of Trey Wallace, the leader of another biker gang the Machine, the most notorious and feared biker gang in the country. Once Ford returns he finds that he and his friends must make a run for it once again as they have both Trey and his Machine bikers and the FBI hot on their tails. But while they are running Ford will try and clear his name and hopefully be able to make up with his long time girlfriend before even more trouble finds him.
I normally hate biker movies because it’s usually a bunch of actors who have probably never ridden a bike in their life doing stupid and improbable stunts on a bike that just don’t look realistic and are very highly unlikely. It’s normally an insult to me to see these actors doing such stupid stunts when I have been riding a bike my entire life and wouldn’t even try the idiocy they portray. Granted this movie has a few of those moments, but it also remembers to tell a story and not to just try and rely on the silly stunts to make the movie. In fact the motorcycles are more of a side note as it just happens the characters the story revolves around happen to be bikers. And yes the world of bikers is almost like a fraternity, and I thought they portrayed that very well along with some of the worse elements of the biker gangs that live and die by their motorcycles. But it is the plot of the movie that make this movie good as it tells a very entertaining and enthralling story about drugs, violence, loyalty and even a little love and romance. The movie is kind of like a Fast and the Furious on motorcycles but with better plot, better acting and just a better overall tempo and tone to the movie. Sure, the movie is what is very accurately dubbed as popcorn entertainment but there is nothing wrong with a movie that’s sole purpose is to entertain and this movie does just that entertain.
