After messing up a major drug bust in New York City, two African American FBI agents (who are also brothers), Marcus and Kevin Copeland try to impress their boss by volunteering to protect the Wilton Sisters, Tiffany and Brittany, the heiresses of a hotel empire, from a kidnapping scheme during a short trip from JFK to the Hamptons. After the sisters are injured in a car accident they refuse to go to the Hampton’s and acr as bait as it is the premiere event of the year and they do not want to with fresh bruises and scars. So the brothers Decide to change the strategy drastically, and use themselves as bait, wearing lots of pale makeup, as well as prosthetic faces and dresses to pass as the Wilton sisters, while the real sisters are hidden away, safe from harm. Now, the agents just have to convince the world (including their coworkers who are now protecting *them* and the Wiltons' friends and family) that they're actually young, rich, white heiresses all the while trying to track down and uncover the perpetrators in the kidnapping scheme without anyone noticing that there is something seriously different about these stuck up, snobbish White Chicks.
This movie can be described in two words absurd and funny. In fact it is absurdity that makes the movie so funny. The premise is weak, the plot is weak, the acting is weak but the movie breaks past all that and is downright hilarious at times. I didn’t even mind the potty humor that was thoroughly mixed throughout, heck it’s a Wayans movie you couldn’t expect them to not resort to the cheapest form of humor they could find. The movie has a charisma about it they know they are being ridiculous and absurd but they just don’t care and that is what makes it so great at times. I know this movie probably won’t stand up to multiple viewings because once you know how outrageous they can be, the movie will just lose its humor every time after that. The movie is also a movie you could easily skip seeing in the theatres, as it could be just as funny if you watched it from the comfort of your home. I had almost given up on the Wayans after how bad Scary Movie 2 was, but this movie redeems them once again as it is more in the comical stylings of In Living Color rather than their recent movie ventures. If there is one thing that the Wayans do is that they can totally tear down racial stereotypes and make it into a hilarious romp of depravity. Go see or rent the movie at least once as it is worth a single viewing at the very least.
