Since Oz’s encounter with Gogolak gang he has found himself becoming very jumpy and paranoid. Even though the Gogolak gang has no reason to believe that Jimmy the Tulip, Oz’s former neighbor, friend and ex hitman, is still alive he can’t but help feeling like there is danger around every corner. Oz is now married to Jimmy's ex-wife, Cynthia, and Jimmy is married to Oz's former dental assistant (and hit woman), Jill St. Claire, and Jimmy has dropped the hitman persona to be more of a family man and has retired to Mexico. But when includes Lazlo, the brother of Yanni is released from prison Oz is about to find himself in a world o trouble again. After Lazlo kidnaps Cynthia, Oz is forced to flee to Mexico and to seek the help of the hitmen Jimmy and Jill. But at first it does not seem like Jimmy is going to be willing to help him as he is still mad at Oz for stealing his Ex-Wife. But with Jill’s insistence and Jimmy wanting to help rescue Cynthia they find themselves entering the fray once more. Being chased by the Hungarian mob their plan is to kidnap Lazlo’s son and force a trade for Cynthia. But Jimmy is not letting Oz in on all his secrets as he seems to have a secret agenda that might get them all killed or make the all rich, it just seems a toss up to which will happen first.
One of the best things a movie can do is to take a well-known actor and put them in such an absurd position that it contradicts everything they are know for. Bruce Willis wearing an apron and bunny slippers acting the part of a happy housewife is nothing short of comedic genius. While Willis may have started his career doing comedies he is to well thought of for his Die Hard personas so seeing him in such a role is hilarious. The absurdity of what his character is in the movie is why Arnold was able to do some hilarious comedies in the early 1990’s by going against everything we expect from Willis. Bruce Willis also proves why he is such a good actor and why we flock to his movies as he does have the diversity to play more than just the action hero. I loved the interaction and chemistry between him and Mathew Perry they just offset each other so well that its fun to watch them together. What I thought was missing from this movie that we got to see in the original was more of Amanda Peet as she almost stole the first movie and was almost a running gag in this movie. That’s not to say that when she was on cue she wasn’t funny because she was but as the movie progressed they just seemed to get away from her character and what makes her so funny. I found myself laughing throughout most of the movie and think I ended up liking it better that it predecessor as it was funnier and just had such a great biting wit to that made me laugh throughout.
