In the backcountry of West Virginia there seems to be something horribly wrong. Something or someone is hunting and killing unsuspecting campers and those who make the mistakes of wandering into its territory. Chris is a med school student who is on his way to Raleigh for a job interview but when an accident ties up the freeway for hours he looks for an alternate route to get there. When he arrives at a gas station on an old country road he notices on the map that there seems to be a back road that might get him there, so he quickly takes it to only be involved in an accident with another stranded vehicle. Jessie had just broken up with her boyfriend and to make her feel better he friends have taken her into the woods for a camping trip. But it seems that they were sabotaged as someone had laid barbwire on the road and it has caused them to be stranded until Chris comes along and ends up totally their vehicle. No Chris bands up with Jessie and her friends to try and find someway out of the woods but things will not be that simple as this wrong turn has led them into the territory of something that will be soon hunting them as they must flee for their lives.
I absolutely hated this movie, it was some of the worst and most tired cliched horror films all rolled into one. I was not frightened, I was not surprised and for the majority of the movie I was not interested. The movie did nothing to compel me to want to ever sit through its absolute horrible plot, actors and action. From the moment the movie started you knew who was going to die, you knew who was going to live and you knew in what order they would be picked off in. If a horror movie is going to use all the cliches of its predecessors they should at least try and find something slightly original that they can call their own rather than making the entire movie one drudgery. As I was watching the film it seemed like to me their whole purpose of making the movie was to see if they could get the good looking actress of the film to wear something scantily as they were all clad in low ride jeans and tube tops. The movie seems to not care that it gives a bad name to horror films and is the epitome of everything I hate about the genre to the weak plot all the way to the unbelievable amazingly predictability of the film. Don’t waste your time or your money as the movie has nothing to offer and may make you wish you had done something else.
